| Who is Redd?
Redd is an independent law firm which focuses on advice, commercial contracts, disputes and litigation in the intellectual property and technology fields. Redd was founded by Charters Macdonald-Brown, Simon Chalkley and Sara Ashby, all of whom have practised together and specialised in intellectual property work for many years. What does Redd do? Our approach is to concentrate on those aspects of practice where we, as solicitors, can add real value: enforcement and dispute resolution, strategic advice and transactional work. Where a matter involves the filing or prosecution of a patent, trade mark or design application, we refer the matter to independent firms specialising in that kind of work. How do we do it? We aim to deliver straightforward professional advice from a close knit group of lawyers who can work together efficiently to give high quality legal advice in a straightforward and commercial manner for fees which represent good value. Who does Redd act for? We enjoy working with a diverse range of businesses from pharmaceuticals to electrical goods, from computer games to apparel. Some of these are publicly quoted companies. Others are entrepreneurial led privately owned businesses. Many are industry leaders in their sector. Why Redd? It is an old English or Scottish word which has many meanings, some of which we thought appropriate for a law firm…. “To save, rescue or free a person, to remove an obstruction, To find out more… …please call Charters, Sara or Simon on +44 (0)20 7776 4760 or |
