Simon Chalkley

Simon advises clients on intellectual property protection, enforcement and infringement issues. He has particular experience in advising on the commercial exploitation of intellectual property assets including: licensing, franchising and distribution both in the UK and internationally, collaborative arrangements, technology transfer, sale and purchase agreements and competition law issues relating to IP agreements. Over the years he has also advised extensively on intellectual property matters in the context of venture capital, M&A and corporate finance deals.

Sara Ashby

Sara is predominantly a litigator advising clients on all contentious matters involving all types of intellectual property (including patents, trade marks, copyright and designs). Sara's work naturally covers advice on pre-litigation matters such as enforcement and settlement strategy, infringement, clearance and validity opinions; and, where litigation is appropriate, conducting legal proceedings in particular before the English courts and European Court of Justice.

Charters Macdonald-Brown

Charters is a highly experienced litigator. He has acted in cases across the full range of intellectual property rights in all the main English courts up to the House of Lords and before the European Court of Justice, many cases involving multi-jurisdictional issues and parallel proceedings in other countries.
